Sponsor New Fellows

Today, the citizen sector is maturing, and the field of social entrepreneurship is flourishing, due in large part to Ashoka’s efforts. Ashoka wants to keep pace by electing as many Fellows as possible. However, our ability to raise adequate unrestricted funds cannot always accommodate all of the candidates we source who meet our selection criteria.

The most popular way to help Ashoka scale and support the world’s most promising ideas for change is to sponsor one or more individual Fellows. This investment entails the full three year stipend paid to that Fellow as well as the cost of the search and selection process. You will receive annual reports on the activity and impact of that specific Fellow’s work. New Fellows are available to sponsor every year. Stipend amounts vary greatly by the countries of operation and are determined on an individual basis.

In addition, Ashoka has created a Venture Fund for Leading Social Entrepreneurs. The Venture Fund is a consolidated pool of revenue for supporting Fellows, unrestricted in terms of geography or sector, which is applied to any gaps in funding for stipends at the end of each fiscal year. Venture fund support allows Ashoka to better manage its general revenue.

“It’s hard to imagine another institution that accomplishes so much with so little. Ashoka is managed very tightly. Its interventions achieve unequaled social change per dollar invested.”
